Services we offer

The Consulate gives all support to descendants of Luxembourgers to apply for the citizenship process, issuance of passport, issuance of nationality and / or descendancy certificates, legalization of documents, as well as general guidelines for other services done directly in Luxembourg. Consult here all our consular services.

Ambassador of the Grand Duchy in Brazil

Carlo Krieger is the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Brazil since September 1, 2017. He studied at Lycée Classique Echternach in Luxembourg, and in the United States, at the University of Miami (Ohio) and the University of Chicago, and completed his PhD at the University of Vienna. Member of the Institute of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, he began his activities within the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs as a member of the Political Department. He served as Head of Mission at the Embassy of Luxembourg in the USA, Canada and Mexico. He was OSCE Deputy Permanent Representative in Vienna, Ambassador of the Embassies of Luxembourg in the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, and Georgia. After that, he was appointed Ambassador of the Embassies of Luxembourg in the Republic of China, Mongolia and Pakistan. He served as Director for Legal and Cultural Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign and Cultural Affairs, and Director for Consular Affairs and International Cultural Relations in the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.

Consul General hc of São Paulo

Jan Eichbaum has been Luxembourg’s Consul General hc since 1997. He has worked and lived in Europe and the United States, where he earned a degree in Economics and International Business from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. With more than 25 years of experience, he specializes in startups management and large international companies in the areas of strategic consulting, outsourcing services, technology, logistics and International M&A. He was responsible for numerous strategic service projects in the Latin American telecommunications industry, as well as introducing BPO (Business Process Management) at level C in Latin America, linking Business to Technology. He is on the board of several international groups, as well as councils from various cultural institutions.
